One of the books I'm currently reading is "Don't know much about the bible", by Kenneth C. Davis...very interesting.

I was reading the bit about the two creations in Genesis and was running down the list of the first one "Created heavens and Earth, then light, then day and night", etc. And I realized that it would have taken me *forever* to do that. Not because of the skill it would take to make everything, but because it would take me *years* to get the colors right.

Hell, it took me ten minutes and three trips to the options window to get the colors in my mail program right!

Yes, I do scare me sometimes. Thanks for asking. ;)

Hmmm...I should go do a search on Urban Fantasy...I need a book list. Maybe I'll just ask on AC...if nothing else, I'll get an interesting discussion...and hopefully a lot of titles/authors.

Still disappointed with "The Little Country"...I'm going to put it away for a while..maybe it'll be better with age.

My mom has only a handful of books she hasn't finished...I don't know how she does it. It could be that she's pickier than me...and, I *do* read more than she does (or at least, I did when I left home a few years ago...that could have changed.), so I've got more chance to pick up something awful. Still, while I admire her resolve, I doubt I'll adopt the policy.

What I'd really like is a book I can fall into...something three to a thousand pages that will take me to a world apart. But those are really hard to *find*...they seem to hide when I actively seek them. Its all a plot, I tell you.

And if some of the books I've picked up lately *had* a plot, things would be a lot better. ;)

Hah! LiveJournal tried to trick me into posting twice, by telling me the server couldn't be contacted...but I outsmarted them by *checking* before trying to post again.
