A very happy birthday to my bestest friend, [livejournal.com profile] jenny_junipurr.

*laugh* Hey look, it's the Goodbye, I hate you all post generator. For people who want to flounce out of a community, but just don't have the right words.

You know how I have that problem keeping gifts to myself if they're *very* cool gifts and the person lives in my house/near me? Jeff has the same problem...I guess it's contagious.;)

He got me The Absolute Sandman, Volume 1 and gave it to me last night. It's so gorgeous. And I'm reading it from front to back, instead of jumping to the new stuff in the back. It's like reading it for the first time. So damn amazing, is my [livejournal.com profile] darthgeek.

Oh, here's something I've been meaning to post about. I bought a really nice comforter for our bed, in king size, so that there would be no fighting for covers in cold weather (bed's a queen). It's gorgeous and warm. The front is slightly velvety but the back is slippery. So, if I'm having a restless night, I end up with the entire comforter pooled next to my side of the bed. Not optimal. (Though, this does make me the greatest cover thief ever.;)

Right now, we've turned it over, so the velvety side works with the blanket to keep it in place. But, I bought this particular one 'cause I *like* the design (and if I can find the link, I'll share it, so y'all can see the design too) and would really like to have that bit facing up. Any ideas on ways to stop the traveling bedspread?

Today is better than yesterday. Because it *isn't* yesterday. Still a bit out of sorts, but no longer pricing machetes. :)

Thanks! :) *hugs*

Yay, Jeff!

Humph. No ideas, but I'm all about singing the praises of flannel comforters right now. :)

Glad today is a bit better! *hugs* Love you.

Drat.

Well, at least I remembered to close my html on the first link so they'd both work!

I'd just turn it velvet side down when I went to bed and turn it over when I made the bed in the morning if it was me. This gives the body-touching side a chance to air out during the day, and stops the slithering at night.

Off the top of my head, how about those clip-on sheet holders? That way you can remove them for cleaning and the like (or if you want to wrap up like a Gessi burrito!)

A thin cotton blanket would also act those rug holders you lay on the floor. That will increase the heat level in your bed, though.
