I have nothing profound to say.

I'm feeling a *lot* better about the car issue now. Because nothing terrible has happened. No dominoes have fallen. It's just a car thing. I'm not going to end up living in my in-laws basement, especially since they don't actually *have* a basement (and I sent them a letter cutting off contact wrt Sam and I about a year ago. We send them notes and exchange presents through the mail, and that's it.), and just because 2006 is divisible by two doesn't mean it's 2002.
In other words, I talked myself through an extended panic attack, I just didn't realize what it was at the time.
*laugh* Tom Petty's "It'll All Work Out" just started. That's what Jeff says to me. Toldja Winamp was psychic.

We're discussing what we want in a vehicle now. Since we're planning on another kid, I definitely want a van with two sliding doors. (Yeah, still want a van. I like having the room, I like being higher than most of the the traffic and I like that, if we get hit, the likelihood of death is smaller.)(If you're gonna tell me it's actually higher, please don't. I have enough shit in my head to deal with. We live in an area where we *have* to drive places, and this is the security blanket I'm going with.)(Also, again, if something terrible happens, it's somewhere to live for a while.)
I'm such an up person. :p
Anyway. Yeah. Van with two sliding doors. And not teal. I have nothing against the color, but I'd like something else now. Something nice, comfy, hard wearing with both bumpers on, working doors, working windows *and* ac/heat that actually cools and heats as it should. That's not too much to ask for. Oh, and if it has a sun roof, that'd be nifty too. :)

Since Jeff has the Audi, he can drive that home on weekends and we can do errands/go places then. Which means we can take more time and save more money toward the new car. Yay.
~~~
And, new car means new bumper stickers. Woo. *Grin*
My very favorite Smithsonian museum, American History is closing for two years, so they can renovate it. I think working their during the renovations would be damn near the coolest thing ever. Not so much knocking down walls and then putting up new ones (though that's seriously nifty too), but going through and cleaning all the stuff, and redesigning the displays, that sort of thing. I *love* that sort of thing. But, they've probably already got people lined up. Oh, and just 'cause I did a nifty display of silk pocket squares and sunglasses when I was working at the JC Penney's men's dept in the eighties doesn't mean I'm qualified to do museum displays. *Grin*
There will be a small exhibit of favorite things from the American History museum at the Aerospace Museum, starting the day before my birthday, which means they're combining his favorite and mine! I knew we'd take over the world one day! ;)
Hmm. Just got spam from Waldo. I guess the game has changed and he's looking for me now.
