As seen in the always nifty [livejournal.com profile] popfiend's journal, Speed Racer Lives.

I never though he died, man. This, though. This will kill him.

The cool think about owning my own domain is that all the mail to myschyf.net is for me, ergo I can make up addresses as I go along. This is great for finding out who's selling my addy and who isn't. It's also good for making little statements that nobody cares about but me.

I signed up for the updates at Speed Lives with aghastATmyschyf.net

There are few 'net specific things that bug me as much as the people who try to get others to talk them out of leaving a group/list/fitb. It's one thing to talk to one's friends and get opinions, and quite another to announce that one's thinking of leaving/leaving somewhere. The first is logical, the second is drama queening of the lowest order.

And *why* do people rise to it? My MO has always been to say "Okay then, see ya." If it's someone I like very much, I say that I'll miss hir, but understand the need. If it's someone I don't like, or don't have an opinion about, I either don't say anything or give 'em a general "Okay then. Bye now. Buh-bye. Enjoy your stay in Orlando."

How come K'marts still have the merry-go-round and such outside, but Target and...well, everywhere else I can think of with the exception of ToysRUs doesn't? Can't just be a fear of lawsuits or K'mart woudln't have 'em either.

Sam has a great love for the merry-go-round...when she was four or so, she wanted to go on but was still afraid of loud noises and didn't want me to turn it on. So, she sat on it and kind of looked bummed. So, her overindulgent mother pushed it in circles, so she could have a ride that woudln't scare her. Which made her happy.

Does anyone remember the Silverchair video for Freak, where the band was playing in a hot room, so they'd sweat and the sweat was used to make "old women" (ie anyone with a wrinkle :p) younger and eventually alien looking?

Yeah, so does Faye Dunaway

I know I'm mean and evil. I'm comfortable with that.

This is an interesting idea, but do my ipod and my shoes really need to communicate?

~~~
This has been a terribly long week. I'd really like to skip to Friday night, please. Just a day...is that asking so much? ;)
I'm still shocked when people compliment me and say things like the always nifty - THANKS!
Oh yes, I love this passionately! Except when some smartass decides to send me email at "smelly_bottom_girl@"suzie's domain :-P
Faye Dunaway needs a new dentist.
I didn't get to see the last 11 minutes of CSI. Did you? can you tell me what happened? can anyone?
I'm sorry! I lost this in my mailbox.
Capt. Brass came through surgery, woke up and thanked Grissom for not pulling the plug on him. :)
And then we see Gil in his jammies (I never really thought of him as a pajama kind of guy...), talking to someone while reclining on a bed, about how he'd like to die (Only Gil would *want* cancer so he could take time to say goodbye to people and take care of all the loose ends). Someone comes out of the bathroom...it's a woman. The camera pans up from about her knee...she's wearing a short silky robe...and it turns out to be Sara. (Jeff laughed at my reaction. But that's 'cause he's only been a real fan since last year, so he doesn't know all the turmoil in their relationship). She says "Well, I'm not ready to lose you yet." He smiles and I think they faded to black. I'm pretty sure we didn't see them kiss or anything.
See now why I don't have my own synopsis site? *grin*
Gessi
Thanks, Gessi!
Not a big surprise with Gil and Sarah, eh?
You will not believe this, but that putz did it again...interrupted my viewing...but I did get to sit in the other room and watch it at a 60 degree angle...it just ruins the whole experience for me though :( It's almost like a violation, ya know....
I don't like people asking me what I read or ask questions about my reading...it's like personal... OK, only some people piss me off...I don't want to discuss anything with eustis... is that weird?
*grin* I'd've pushed her, too. I think this is what makes us Mommies in the best sense of the word. ;)
Love you.
If my shoes and my ipod need to talk they can do so in the privacy of my gym bag when I am not around. I refuse to do all the work for them.
That whole speed race thing is just... WRONG!
Oh yeah, I've got no patience for the "please beg me to keep you on my friend's list/stay on life journal" drama crap
Actually, I think the ipod and shoes idea is pretty good...I'm always in favor of tech being good for more than one thing, and I hate the idea that I need a computer to do math for me (calculator), and another to keep up with my bike mileage (cyclocomp), and another on which to listen to music, and yet another for... It'd be nice if some of them would multitask! :)
Poor Sammy. :) I miss being small enough to think the merry-go-round was a big deal. D
