Know what I love? The first stitch.

The majority of my stitched projects are embroidery, and when one is embroidering, one chooses where to start. With needlepoint, it's best for me to start at one of the edges, with cross-stitch, I have to count it out and keep track of where I am at all times, so I don't screw things up.

While I love starting all sorts of projects, the one that's the most freeing is embroidery. I just put the first two stitches in the {censored} that I'm making for {censored}. I'd do more right now, but it took a while to get everything set up (and again I'm struck by how wonderful the oval hoops are) and my body says that if I don't eat something soon, I'll die and be dead, or at least get all woozy and fall over. But, I wanted to *start*.

Two stitches down, fifteen or twenty thousand to go. :)
