I recently started using a garbage bowl in the kitchen. I was using grocery bags, but the garbage bowl is easier, and never had holes in the bottom.

What I *don't* have is a designated garbage bowl, because the difference between a batter bowl and a garbage bowl is the name. If I'm doing something with a multitude of veggies, I will use a large bowl, if I'm making an apple cake, I'll use a small bowl.

What I won't ever be doing is paying someone twenty dollars for a branded garbage bowl.

Plus, I'm pretty sure most of my bowls are from Goodwill...I could get a multitude of them for twenty bucks.

I have a love/hate relationship with this time of year. I love the colors and the scents and the food and the cooling down of the days. I am not pleased with the ever encroaching darkness and often gloomy weather.

I have come to firmly believe that the "secret" of adulthood is balance. Autumn reinforces that every year.
