Nov. 9th, 2006 09:01 pmAww, I really liked Ed Bradley. He'll be missed. I wish him well in whatever comes next.

That's right, I was talking about books and movies. And I had a really neat thing I was going to say next, but it's gone now. Guess I'll have to wing it.
I'm currently reading Little, Big, The Book of Flying and rereading Jane Eyre.
The first two are lyrical and amazing. The last has been one of my favorite books since I was about ten years old. Though, now I know her name is pronounced "Aire" rather than "E-yar-ay". Luckily, I figured this out for myself, not because I was reading it aloud. *grin* I'm having one of those times when the books I'm reading go well together and will be slightly bummed when I'm done, 'cause this type of harmony doesn't happen every day.
The last book I read that I wasn't pleased with was The Food Taster which was the story of a man in Medieval Italy who ends up the food tater for a repellent Duke. The first half was great. Then it slowed down, a *lot*. Eventually, I skipped to the end, just to see who ended up with whom and how.
I can't really remember the last movie I watched that I didn't like, 'cause I tend to turn 'em off and forget 'em. The last movie I watched that was marvelous was Thank You For Smoking which was a great character study. Also funny as hell. We were going to watch it right after Sam went to bed sometime last week, but then realized Desk Set was on TCM. We own this on dvd...and figured we'd just watch a little, then get on with the dvd. We watched the whole thing by accident. *grin*

Oh, new CSI is on. More later. As, always. :)
