It will surprise very few people to learn that Harlan Ellison is an abusive asshole. (Item three)

Barry Manilow is having a big week. He won an Emmy on Sunday and had both his hips replaced on Monday. He's probably sleeping today. *Grin*

Oh dear. Matthew Broderick has gone and broken himself. But, at least now he and Alton Brown have matching owies, 'cause they both broke their clavicles. And, from all reports, they should both be okay.

Jeff and my eighth relationship anniversary/seventh wedding anniversary is coming up and I just did the math. We've been together for a bit more than a quarter of my life. Wow. That's...a lot.
The cool thing is, our anniversary (9/15) is on a Friday, so he's going to work from home, then we're going to have a nice dinner together while Sam has pizza and watches a movie. We'll do something on the weekend and it'll feel like a continuation of a celebration rather than putting it off till we can celebrate.
Yeah, stuff like that can get to me. My weirdness should surprise none of you. *Grin*

Sammy is doing *beautifully* with her reading. I'm so thrilled for her. She's not only figuring out how the letter sounds go together to make words, she's doing well on reading comprehension as well. Yay.:)

We've hit upon the perfect school schedule for us. We spend time together, then time apart, then time together again. It makes life a lot less grumptastic.
