I should probably update a bit more often, especially when my last entry has me huddled in a corner, trying not to cry.

I finally did cry...it didn't help. Though Sam snuggled me nearly the whole time. That was sweet.

I'm not completely sure what's going on with me, but I'm getting used to the roller coaster. Or at least, that's what I'm telling meself.:)

We had a good weekend...didn't get fuck-all done, but made lots of plans. We were going to take Sam to see Monsters Inc. on Sunday (Jeff was paintball boi on Saturday...which kind of wiped him out for the day...but he had just the *best* time, so it was ok.:) , but she hadn't had a nap and was in cranky mode...it didn't seem fair to take her into a completely new experience that involved the dark (she's not so big on dark) when she was already cranky.

Maybe we'll go for my birthday next week. Whenever we go, we'll have the baby earplugs we bought on Sunday before Sam went cranky.:) I figure, if she wants to fuck up her hearing when she's older, that's her right, but I'm not going to do it for her.

So, we drove around for a while, to let her have a long sleep...it was *nice*...we talked and looked at stuff and it wasn't stressful at all. We found a "new" Goodwill store as well...we got a *big* suitcase for eight bucks, a reversible baby entertainment table for three and a bunch of kitchen stuff. Since we're having Jeff's 'rents over next Saturday for an early T`giving thing (this is known as "Invite them over, feed them and you won't be obliged to see them till sometime in late December".), the casserole dishes and big platter I found will come in *very* handy.

We got some very pretty cobalt blue goblets(Second from the right) a month or so ago, from Pier One...and I've been toying with the idea of etching them, the way Mum and Nan etched the wine glasses they gave Jeff and I when we got married.

myschyf: (Sam & Me.)
Sam came with me to empty/refill my brush basin, and I stopped to switch the laundry on the way back. I took the sheets out of the dryer and put 'em on top, then started dropping the clothes on the dryer door, to push in when I had them all out. On a whim, I asked Sam to put them in the dryer for me, figuring that she'd play with them or try for a moment then wander off...either way, it would stop her from trying to close the laundry nook door before the dryer door was closed (in a word "Bambambam").

She *put* *them* *in*. And did the same with the next blop of clothes...she pushed them in as far as she could, then pretty much laid on the dryer door and got 'em all the way in. Now *that's* taking your job seriously. *grin*

My favorite part was the happy chirp after she pushed each bit of clothing into the dryer.
